another awesome day floatin around our hills with everyone.. caught the eagle bum mover up the hill and jumped off about 11:40. climbed decent at launch and over to the RR. scratched slowly up that till over the top and with a bit of east wind went see EJ for a few turns and off to the peak. couldnt ever get more then 50 or so over the peak and the SE was kickin so floated the ridge over to altenator. tons of people launching but no one was getting up until out in front of westbowl. tried to go back to the peak but the east was too much and i figured it was a one way ticket. so from a hundred or so over altenator pointed for noname. got a nice one back to 3800 at noname and the gaggle in front of westbowl looked inviting so pushed upwind. came over the front top of westbowl with a hundy or two, made a few circles with bob p, but felt like i was at the top of the lift. i always feel i am at the top but people are always a couple hundy over me, bastards, oh well, pushed upwind and deep in cathedral for protection from the east. once around the front got some pleasant ridge soaring up to the top and off to the tit. had some attention gettin glider stuff going on here so pushed across the canyon trying the bypass launch before gettin it at the antennas. the whole thermal factory was going off with quite a bit of east. people were high all around that zone. daveed and drew were deep behind TF at camino cielo gettin high. i dove back there with willy on his hg and we farted around back of the rack. so fun watching him fly that thing, he rips around so smooth, getting lift in odd places, and never seeming to lose altitude, just diving and glidin.. super smooth... anyways, more laps around the fishbowl with howser/marge tandem and off to parma. great day!!

aaron u definitely got that westbound dialed in! ron and i spent quite awhile at rr, couldnt get enuf to follow aaron. i had that 'how'd he get over there?' sensation. brendan lapped it from rr, over the holy hills and up to thermal factory via the antenna farm. i thought that was pretty nice too. all of tf was working ok, but only topping at 3875. took that straight to the beach on a tough glide crabbing into the SE on bar w/ brendan there and oj following out. its always nice to get the aviation part of friday the 13th out of the way. a few awe-inspiring flyby hg landings there make you realize what a different and fast aircraft they can be.
