Full van plus a second car in tow dropped off 20 or so pilots plus some tandem passengers around noon. We expected to see the FAA crew over the Alternator since they had left an hour earlier but we later learned they were waiting out otb conditions.

Top of the lift for most was around 3500, but the few that ventured over to the double R got into the low fours. Not an XC kind of day, but SB was about as nice as it gets with perfect weather and plenty of smooth lift to be had.

Quite a few made the beach, including Pengoquin and Dave B. who came from Alternator.

Vario: 440 fpm up, 560 dn, max alt 3450, 45 minutes.
