any takers for a little nuthouse "tag the chief" challenge? trail and launch are considerably improved: certainly, sheer joy awaits. 1030 at the high school... ps: good luck at the Nats Marty (et al) !!!

chris paul and i launched @ 1215 in decent cycles. headed eastbound w/ varying degrees of difficulty. i had marginal alt @ bruces but thought i'd get some luv at stooges... not really! i came in to chief spine way below twin peaks and needed to pray for 'chief spine elevator rules' to take effect... they did~ and in about 15 minutes i was over launch. tagged chief and top landed. watched chris fly up from in front of twin peaks very quickly elevating up the spine to top land as well. nice!!~ we decided to head back.. re-launched and immediately hooked a fatty over the road to @ 5700. we landed at the high school. @ 1.25 hours to work it up to chief. @ 20 minutes from there to the hs~ the magic of starting high~... given the average conditions, we thought it was very rewarding, fun, challenge-type ojai flying~

More challenging in 114 degree temperatures...

Crank up the monsoons for Pine Mountain; I'm back in town next weekend.

Bring KY Jelly for Rhonda.

With the moisture coming in & temps forecasted to be near 100, is anyone planning to go to Pine this weekend?
