New Years Day

Postby DBLD » Fri Jan 02, 2009 4:24 pm

I usually don't post about flights, but since no one else seems to be stepping up to post I will give the short synopsis. A good sized group met at the training hill despite the fog. I got there late and had the privelege of taking the stragglers up the hill to the peak. When it was all said and done, if my count is correct, there were 11 hangies that flew from the peak to the training hill. We had to brave light conditions on launch and fog in the LZ, but we all made it without mishap. I want to thank our drivers, Janis and Lew. Also it was good to see some that don't get out much anymore. Gilbert and Innes, always good to see you.

A fun day with old freinds that know each so well that only flying can make... a great way to start off a new year for sure. LEW

Great times everyone. Happy New Year! I'm glad I was able to make this annual flight this year. Thanks everyone for the encouragement for my first time La Cumbre - trainin hill flight. It was fun...
