Man, whaaaaa. No posts. Saturday was pretty darn good. Driving up to launch there were two paragliders already getting up at the R&R! Where did they go? I took off right behind Bob Anderson and Hammer hoping to put a li'l heat on em. Ugghh right. By the time I got up from the Antanae Farm to the Thermal factory and looked up they were at the VOR!! Dave Teal came out and was high all day cruising the range like a pro now. I know what he was thinking, "Before I was the student, now I AM THE MASTER!! (input heavy breath breathing like Darth Vader). John Hesch finally caught SB on a good day and I tried to coax him to West Bowl by clilmbing and climbing over 5000 ft. till he gave and joined me. We tagged No name and he continued to the VOR before joining me on the way back. Scottie was spotted low on the back range maximizing glide, oh sweetness. Something happened to Bob Anderson, landing somewhere and he's usually quite a slow breaker downer but he did a Mario Andretti pit stop and set up and relaunched in record breaking time.
Roland and Jeff cruised out to the beach, DD cruising there as well, and Hammer just kept going everywhere. Richard Saffold came out with an old classic wing and had a nice landing at uppers, so did Ramey but no witnesses and Kip and well, there was a bunch of us out. But I never saw those paragliders again, who were they, where did they go? Was it Bo going West again,....hmmmnnn........
