Airtime 10/30

Took my dad for short but sweet Tandem flight today, It was too easy. Relatively late drive up to launch @ 12:30 but had nice cycles coming up. Off launch instant climb to around 300 over, off to the T. factory where another instant climb up to base and a bit above that to 4160'. Passenger feeling the turns a little too much so I took the height and glided to the beach. Arrived with 700' to spare. All in about 20 min. Get-R-Done :D '
Hangliding is not the best.
Paragliding is not the best.
Thermal flying IS the best!

Right on Lee. I flew on Monday and it was really good as well. Got up 150 feet off launch and got a great glide to the R&R where the first thermal took me oh so sweetly up to 4600 feet. I was using a new 5030 race vario and it was a lot better than my old ball. Quicker reactions and with a total energy compensator helped me out a lot. Anyway, the clouds in the back country were awesome and I knew that this was the day to go far! I went to the Thermal Factory and waited for Terry Taggert to launch and had a much slower climb there. Eventually, I drifted over the back range on my Falcon and was at 4931 feet. Joined up with Terry and we cruised to Montecito Peak and it was OFF. Whaaaa happen? We struggled forever, Terry got up over the top but soon descended then he split for the beach. I continued to try to get something for another half hour but couldnt find anything and cruised out to the beach as well.
