Got a last minute offer from Art and Andy D. to join them for a run up the hill with Jeff from S.B. Strong cycles at launch were yanking me around but got away on the second pull. I didn't have to search much for lift, in fact it seemed like the lift was looking for us, wanting something to toss around. Art had already climbed out and gone East with 6400 but hit a wall of headwind somewhere beyond the Repeaters and turned around.

Strong cores below 6k kept me banked over with a wingtip below the horizon and the harness creaking under the G loads, but above that it became nice and smooth. Topped out at 2500 over and headed SW with the gps indicating a 6 to 1 glide for the high school.

Lots of sink made that a no-go so I headed out over town, picking up a few scraps of lift but mostly sinking rapidly. Art & Andy made a run on Nordhoff ridge but it didn't have the juice that Chief's did. I landed at the golf course and they came up short a few blocks from the high school.
